Members & Responsibilities
The Planning Commission is a statutorily authorized board, appointed by the Board of County Commissioners, that prepares and adopts a county master plan in accordance with C.R.S. § 30-28-106.  The Planning Commission also reviews and makes recommendations concerning development applications within the county.

The commission consists of seven members and two alternates. The term of appointment for a regular members is three years and until respective successors have been appointed. The terms of office are staggered so that approximately one-third of the terms expire each year. Alternate members are appointed to one-year terms and serve in the absence of regular members.
