Adams County Government is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience and advancing technology accessibility in all our county information and communication technology (“ICT”). We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our ICT in accordance with Colorado Laws For Persons With Disabilities, HB 21-1110, as amended, and the rules promulgated by the Office of Information Technology of the State of Colorado.
Our ongoing accessibility effort works towards being in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1, level AA criteria. These guidelines not only help make technology accessible to users with sensory, cognitive and mobility disabilities, but ultimately to all users, regardless of ability.
Our efforts are just part of a meaningful change in making all State of Colorado services inclusive and accessible. We welcome comments on how to improve our technology’s accessibility for users with disabilities and for requests for accommodations to any Adams County services.
While Adams County is actively working to adhere to the accepted guidelines and standards for accessibility and usability, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website as quickly as we would like.
We continually seek out solutions that will bring all areas of the website up to the same level of overall web accessibility. In the meantime, should you experience any difficulty in accessing the Adams County Government website, or any Adams County ICT, and require reasonable accommodation and/or modification, please contact us via email, request form, phone, or TTY and we will respond in a timely manner:
