The Adams County Head Start team will be hosting the inaugural Family Health Institute on Friday, Nov. 8, 8 a.m.-2 p.m., at the Human Services Center Conference Center, 11860 Pecos St., Westminster. The Adams County Justice Center will host a free Legal Resource Day on Thursday, Oct. 24, 9 a.m-12 p.m. and 1-4 p.m. at the Adams County Justice Center, 1100 Judicial Center Drive, Brighton, in the 1st Floor Training Room.
The southbound I-25 ramp to eastbound I-70 will be closed during overnight hours for five nights from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6 through Thursday, Oct. 10. The closure is necessary while crews replace bridge expansion joints and make ramp improvements to maximize driver safety. The ramp will reopen by 5:30 a.m. each morning.
Notice: Suncor ERT will conduct live fire training on Thursday, Oct. 3, 7 a.m.-3 p.m., at the Suncor Fire Training Center. During the training there will likely be flames and smoke produced. In the event of an actual emergency, all ERT training will cease and proper alarms will be sounded. As part of the Colfax Avenue Intersections Improvements project, crews will close the Colfax Avenue (US 40) ramps to northbound Interstate 225 starting at 9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 4, through Monday morning, Oct. 7. During the weekend, motorists will follow detours routes that add up to 5 minutes and a maximum of 2.75 miles to the commute.
