The Quebec Street on-ramp to westbound I-70 will close starting at 10 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 3 through mid-November. This closure allows crews to rebuild the on-ramp in this area. In an effort to remain in Level 2 of the State of Colorado’s Safer at Home Public Health Orders, Adams County is working with Tri-County Health Department (TCHD) to finalize the county’s mitigation plan to help control the spread of the virus. Recent data points suggest the county is moving in the direction of regressing to Level 3 restrictions by the State.
The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for Adams County for Monday, Oct. 5, in effect from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. A Red Flag Warning automatically places Adams County at Level 2 Fire Restrictions. No open burning is allowed until further notice. Those having burn permits issued by the Fire Chief CANNOT burn during Level 2.
The State COVID-19 testing site in Adams County, located at Water World, 8801 N. Pecos St., Federal Heights has been extended through Dec. 31 and will have extended evening hours.
Starting Sunday, Oct. 4, the site will operate daily from 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. and can administer up to 1,500 tests each day, and there is no cost to get tested. Visitors do not need an identification card, a social security number, or insurance to get a test.
