Gov. John Hickenlooper today ordered flags lowered to half-staff on Friday, April 28, on all public buildings statewide in memory of Adams County Firefighter Brett Anderson. Flags should be lowered from sunrise to sunset.

Anderson, 55, died on April 22 following a more than two-year, courageous battle with cancer. Firefighter Anderson is survived by his wife Cecelia, two sons, Orlando Baca and Phillip Lopez, daughter Brandy Anderson, and nine grandchildren.

Services will be held on Friday April 28, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Grace Church 6969 Sheridan Blvd, Arvada, CO 80003. Procession to follow, ending at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary, located at 7777 W. 29th Av, Wheat Ridge, CO.  80033. The funeral is open to the public, but Adams County Fire Rescue is encouraging people who wish to honor Firefighter Anderson to line the processional route as uniformed personnel will have seating priority at the church.
