  • Neighborhood Cleanup Events Scheduled for 2018

    The Adams County Public Works Department will again host a series of neighborhood cleanup events in 2018. Residents are encouraged to bring yard waste and other debris to these locations:

  • Suncor to Conduct Live Fire Training

    NOTICE: Suncor ERT will conduct live fire training on Thursday, May 3. Training will begin around 8 a.m. and last throughut the day. The live fire training will be conducted at the Plant 1 Fire Training grounds. During the training, there will likely be large flames and thick smoke produced. In the event of an actual emergency, all ERT training will cease and proper alarms will be sounded.   • Granger Smith to Perform at the Adams County Fair

    Granger Smith, a 2017 iHeartRadio Awards Best New Country Artist nominee, will perform hits from his most recent album, “When the Good Guys Win,” at the Adams County Fair, United Power Grandstand, on Thursday, Aug. 2, at 8:30 p.m. This event is presented by the Colorado Lottery.

    The National Prescription Drug Take Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and anonymous means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse and medications.

  • Traffic Advisory: Nighttime Closures of US-287/SH-128 (120th Ave.)

    Sunday, April 8, through Saturday, April 14, the following closures for asphalt crack repair are in place:

    • From 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., US-287/SH-128 (120th Ave.) from Main Street to Melody Drive, will have intermittent mobile lane closures in both directions. 

    Motorists can expect minor delays as crews conduct mobile repair operations. During the repairs, single lane closures can be expected.  No full road closures are planned. 

  • FREE Adams County Water Well Sampling Program

    Adams County is offering this FREE program as a service to residents.

    Adams County residents who are served by private water wells—and meet eligibility criteria—have the opportunity to have their drinking water analyzed for 76 water quality parameters. There is no cost for this service.

    This is a one-year pilot program that is being offered by Adams County in conjunction with Tri-County Health Department to assist property owners in determining if their well water has potentially been impacted by oil and gas development or other contamination sources.
