About the Board

The county commissioners are constitutional officers who act collectively as the governing board.

In Adams County there are five members of the Board of County Commissioners. Residents of Adams County select their district representative when they vote at election time.

The board manages the affairs of the county as authorized by the state. Powers granted to the board by the state are broad, which allow the board independence in judgment. For additional information, please review the commission's responsibilities.

Adams County Public Hearings are held on Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m. (unless otherwise noted).

Important Meeting Information

Public Hearings are held in the First Floor Public Hearing Room at the Adams County Government Center located at 4430 S Adams County Parkway, Brighton.

Members of the Public may submit written comments on any matter within the Board’s subject matter jurisdiction through the agenda link below and the online comment system.
