  • Gov. Polis Orders Flags Lowered to Honor Former Colorado House Speaker Ruben Valdez

    DENVER — Gov. Jared Polis today ordered the United States and Colorado flags be lowered to half-staff statewide on all public buildings from sunrise to sunset on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2019, to honor former Colorado House Speaker Ruben Valdez, the first Hispanic House Speaker in Colorado.  Valdez passed on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2019. Services will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2019.

  • I-70 Travel Advisory

    The Washington Street (Exit 275A) ramp from eastbound I-70 will be closed during overnight hours for five nights from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. from Sunday, October 13 to Thursday, October 17. The closure is necessary while crews replace bridge expansion joints and make other ramp improvements to maximize driver safety. The ramp will reopen by 5:30 a.m. each morning.

  • Free Health Clinic

    Yahweh Health Care, Adams County Human Services community partner, will host a FREE health clinic on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 9-11 a.m. It will be in the Community Partners Lobby of the Human Services Center, 11860 Pecos St., Westminster. No insurance is required to attend, and it’s walk-in appointments only. The clinic will provide free health assessments, preventative care, and screening and referral services.

  • Master Gardener Spring 2020 Classes

    The Colorado Master Gardener program in Adams County is accepting applications for spring 2020 classes. Classes will be held every other Friday from Jan. 24–April 3, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. with a lunch break, at The Ranch Events Complex, 5280 Arena Circle, Loveland. Apply online.     The Adams County Justice Center will host a free Legal Resource Day on Thursday, Oct. 24, 9 a.m-12 p.m. and 1-4 p.m. at the Adams County Justice Center, 1100 Judicial Center Drive, Brighton, in the 1st Floor Training Room.

  • Suncor to Conduct Live Fire Training

    Notice: Suncor ERT will conduct live fire training on Thursday, Oct. 3, 7 a.m.-3 p.m., at the Suncor Fire Training Center. During the training there will likely be flames and smoke produced. In the event of an actual emergency, all ERT training will cease and proper alarms will be sounded.
