Delivery: Use SNAP or cash-assistance benefits for delivery within 10 miles of your local Walmart store. A $7.95-$9.95 delivery fee applies and can’t be paid for with your SNAP benefits.
Curbside: Use this three-step process to order groceries through curbside pick-up.

  1. Order groceries at Walmart.com/grocery or on the Walmart Grocery mobile app.
  2. During checkout, select EBT Card as payment method.
  3. Swipe EBT card with the Walmart associate upon arrival at the pick-up location.

What items are eligible to be bought with SNAP benefits?

SNAP benefits can be used to buy:

  • Foods for the household to eat, such as:
    • Breads and cereals
    • Fruits and vegetables
    • Meats, fish, and poultry
    • Dairy products
  • Seeds and plans which produce food for the household to eat

SNAP benefits can’t be used to buy:

  • Any non-food items, such as:
    • Pet foods

How can SNAP participants pay for online delivery?

SNAP benefits can’t be used to pay for delivery fees. Residents will have to use other means to pay for delivery fees and non-SNAP products. Retailers must have the technology to safely encrypt the EBT PIN and also split the tender to ensure delivery fees are not paid for through SNAP.

How do you know if these stores deliver to where you live?

  • Walmart: 10-mile radius from the store
  • Amazon: Varies. Visit amazon.com/snap/register to sign up.
    • During the sign-up process, input your SNAP EBT card information and ZIP code. You’ll be notified whether or not your ZIP code is eligible.
