Colorado Open Records Act (CORA)
Adams County is committed to the principle of open and accessible government. As such, we commit to fulfill every request for public information as efficiently and expeditiously as possible and within the requirements established by the Colorado Open Records Act (CORA), C.R.S. 24-72-201 et seq.
Citizens are encouraged to look on our website before submitting a formal open records request because many county public records are available on our website. Some of the more commonly requested records can be found at the following link: adcogov.org/public-records-and-maps.
If you are unable to find what you need online:
- Locate the appropriate department contact on the CORA Department Contact List below.
- Fill out the Open Records Request Form and email to the department contact. If you are not able to identify the appropriate records custodian, please send the request to the CORA email.
If you have a request for records maintained by the Sheriff’s Office, please refer to the Sheriff’s website for their records release policy and records request form which are separate from the county policy and form.
