Governor Polis Orders Flags Lowered to Honor 9/11 Anniversary

Governor Polis ordered flags to be lowered to half-staff on all public buildings statewide on Monday, September 11, 2023, from sunrise to sunset to honor those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, and also in recognition of Patriot Day, which was designated by Congress in 2001.  

President Biden issued A Proclamation on Patriot Day and National Day of Service and Remembrance, 2023, and ordered flags lowered to half-staff. The full text is below:

As part of Workforce Development Month, The Adams County Workforce and Business Center will be hosting an employer listening session roundtable for employers to share struggles, obstacles, resources, data, and successes. The Workforce Center will have talent pipeline labor market information, wage subsidy solutions, and information on work-based learning programs to help build stronger talent pipelines for all industries. This event is open to businesses of all sizes and sector groups.

This is a chance for the Voice of the Employer to be heard.

Join the Adams County Sheriff's Office and Adams County Office of Emergency Management on Saturday, Sept. 30, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., at Riverdale Regional Park, 9755 Henderson Rd., Brighton, for the Adams County Safety Fair Touch-A-Truck event. This family-friendly event will feature emergency vehicles, construction trucks, interactive exhibits, preparedness resources, music, bouncy houses, and more. Admission and parking is free.
