DENVER — Gov. Jared Polis has ordered all flags lowered to half-staff on all public buildings and properties, from sunrise to sunset on Wednesday, May 15, to honor Peace Officers Memorial Day, and as proclaimed by President Donald Trump.

Today, the Adams County Board of Commissioners (BOCC) awarded $6.6 million in open space grants for 20 projects thanks to the voter-approved Open Space Sales Tax. Funding for this grant cycle came from revenues from the second half of the 2018 Adams County Open Space Sales Tax, which was passed by Adams County voters in 1999.

The Open Space Advisory Board reviewed 20 grant applications this grant cycle, recommending the BOCC to approve full funding for all applications. Today, 20 project grants totaling $6,642,082 were awarded.

NOTICE: Suncor will conduct Fire Extinguisher Training on Monday, May 13, at the Suncor Fire Training Center from 1 - 3 p.m. The training will be performed at the Plant 1 Fire Training Grounds.
