Know the Hazardous Materials in Your Area

Adams County has many businesses and facilities that utilize hazardous materials in their day-to-day operations. Regulated by federal, state, and local statue, these partners work to ensure these hazardous materials are stored, utilized, and disposed of in a safe manner. Knowing what facilities are close to where you live, however, can help ensure you are prepared in case of a hazardous materials incident.

Use the map below to search the address of your home, your children’s schools, or other significant locations to better understand what hazardous materials facilities may by close by. While this map is not inclusive of all hazardous materials facilities, it does include those that store large quantities of hazardous materials. When you know what’s in your area, check out our preparedness page for information on steps you can take to be prepared for various hazards, including hazardous materials incidents. If you have questions regarding facilities, please reach out to [email protected].
