With the need for affordable housing greater than ever, Adams County and Brighton Housing Authority (BHA) have partnered on the Adams Point Redevelopment Project, to be located at 19^th Ave. and Bridge St. in Brighton.

The property is currently a vacant lot owned by Adams County, which is transferring ownership to BHA. BHA will develop a phased affordable housing project to include an estimated 160 units. BHA is in the initial stages of project feasibility and plans to pursue Low Income Housing Tax Credits to finance the project.

Fifty-eight Adams County high school students were awarded scholarships totaling more than $1 million on Tuesday, June 29, through the Adams County Scholarship Fund. Adams County Commissioners introduced the Scholarship Fund in 2016, making this the sixth group of recipients, in partnership with the Colorado Department of Higher Education's Colorado Opportunity Scholarship Initiative.
