Aging and Adult Services

The Adult Protection Services program serves at risk adults over the age of 18 who are, or are suspected to be, victims of mistreatment.

Adams County Adult Protection Services is responsible for taking referrals, investigating allegations, and completing assessments to determine appropriate services.

or welfare or because they lack sufficient understanding or capacity to make or communicate responsible decisions concerning their person or affairs.

The Adult Protection Services unit investigates reports of self and caretaker neglect, financial and other forms of exploitation and physical and sexual abuse.
