  • Consolidated Plan public meeting

    Thursday, March 6, 2025 at 06:00 pm - Thursday, March 6, 2025 at 07:00 pm

The Adams County Consortium is seeking public input on community development and housing needs to inform the county’s 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan and its Regional Fair Housing analysis. The county’s Consolidated Plan will inform how it utilizes Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) funds to address the needs of low-income county residents. Community feedback is an essential part of the Consolidated Planning process.

Adams County will hold a community meeting at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 6, at the Margaret Carpenter Recreation Center, 11151 Colorado Blvd., Thornton, to gather feedback from the public. All county residents are encouraged to attend. The county has also published a community survey to gather community feedback. The survey can be accessed online in English and Spanish at research.net/r/AdamsCounty-Community.

Adams County expects to receive an estimated $1,251,668 in CDBG funding and $1,104,723.89 in HOME funding from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for PY 2025, which begins Oct. 1, 2025, and ends Sept. 30, 2026. At this time, HUD has not yet announced the PY 2025 CDBG and HOME allocations. The allocation amounts are only an estimate of the anticipated PY 2025 grant allocations. The county has a contingency provision, as per guidance from HUD notice CDP-24-01 to match the actual allocation amounts once they have been announced by HUD. The county’s final allocation towards activities in the AAP will be divided among all proposed activities’ budgets and will be proportionally increased or decreased from the estimated funding levels to match actual allocation amounts, with adjustments to remain in compliance with the max cap set for admin and public services under CDBG grant regulations, and the max cap set for admin and set-aside for CHDOs under HOME grant regulations.
