Attendance Matters in Adams County

Are you ready to make a positive impact on student attendance while having a blast? Join schools across the county this September to celebrate Attendance Awareness Month! We are offering a fantastic opportunity for your school to receive up to $250 towards events that promote the importance of regular school attendance.

How to Enter:

Plan Your Event: Think creatively! Organize events like themed dress-up days, attendance rallies, classroom or grade competitions, family engagement nights, or motivational assemblies.

1. Complete this form: Tell us about your plans and how you will use the gift card incentives.
2. Promote Attendance: Use posters, social media, and school newsletters to spread the word about the importance of regular attendance and your planned events.
3. Document Your Efforts: Capture photos, videos, and testimonials from students, teachers, and parents. Show us how your school is making a difference!

Showing up for school has a huge impact on a student’s academic success. Chronic absence, no matter its cause, has real life consequences for students, families, and society. Research shows chronic absence can leave 3rd graders unable to read proficiently, 6th graders struggling with coursework, and high school students off track for graduation.
