Regional Transportation

Transportation Master Plan

The Transportation Master Plan is the county's vision for transportation and mobility for the next 20 years.

RTD Rail and Buses

From Boulder to DIA, and from Broomfield to Castle Rock, the Regional Transportation District (or RTD) provides transit services across the Denver region, including Adams County. Visit the RTD website to get schedule and rider information.

Smart Commute

Cities and Counties across the northern metro region come together to discuss transportation needs and provide a variety of rideshare and commuting options.  Learn more here.

North Area Transportation Alliance (NATA)

The advocacy arm of Smart Commute brings together voices from many North Metro governments. NATA maintains a strategic Master Project List. Click to see the priorities of Adams County as well as those from surrounding governments.

Regional Coordination

Adams County is participating and partnering with state and/or local agencies to address transportation issues on a number of corridors throughout the county. Some of the corridors where the county is actively participating include:

  • I-270 Managed Lanes and Bridge Replacement Projects (both led by CDOT)
  • SH 7, Boulder to Brighton Corridor (led by CDOT)
  • Federal Boulevard (US 287) Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project (led by CDOT)
  • US 85 at 120th Avenue (led by Commerce City)

Reach out to county staff for information on these and other regional projects.
