The Adams County Community and Economic Development Department has been developing a draft Balanced Housing Plan (BHP) over the past year with goals, policies, and recommendations.
Adams County has recognized the need to address local housing challenges and to work toward providing housing opportunities for all individuals at all income levels and stages of life. In a proactive effort to create solutions, the county commissioned a Housing Needs Assessment (HNA). The HNA created a thorough economic and demographic description of the county, including its strengths and challenges. It identified findings on which various housing stakeholders provided valuable input and possible solutions and also helped build the framework for developing the BHP.
Adams County is now accepting public comments on the draft 2018 Balanced Housing Plan. Comments will be accepted through Monday, April 16, to be included in the official staff report but will also be accepted until the public hearings. For more information, visit www.adcogov.org/bhp.

Design a New “I Voted” Sticker for the Elections Department
The Adams County Elections Department would like to have a new, custom “I Voted” sticker for upcoming elections, and we’re seeking talented Adams County high school and college students to design it.
“Engaging today’s youth in the electoral process is a major part of my mission in my new role,” says Josh Zygielbaum, Adams County Clerk and Recorder. “This is a great opportunity for students to share their creativity and to learn something about elections and the process. My office is very excited to see the designs they create.”
