The long-awaited grand opening ceremony for the highly anticipated Adams County Veterans Memorial took place at Riverdale Regional Park today, May 29, marking a significant milestone in honoring the brave men and women who selflessly served our nation. Adams County Commissioners were joined by Congresswoman Yadira Caraveo, U.S.

Adams County is highly invested in showing support for residents who are currently serving or are veterans of the United States military services. As part of this commitment, the Public Works Department has implemented the Veterans Memorial Sign Program. This program is intended to allow residents of Adams County who are family or friends of military veterans killed in the line of duty to request dedication of a street in Adams County in memory of their departed veterans.

Today, Adams County celebrated the York St. Phase 1 and Pedestrian Underpass Public Art Installation project with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The York St. Phase 1 Project was a $10.4 million investment that made road and drainage improvements to York St. between E. 78th Ave. and State Highway 224. The project is the first of three the county is implementing to develop this essential corridor for residents of Adams County.

Stout Street Foundation and Adams County Health Department Partner to Implement Program 

Current roadway closures and detour routes due to flood events can be found here. 

Due to severe weather and heavy rain, numerous roadways in Adams County are closed due to flooding and road damage. These roadways are unsafe and will remain impassable to the public until flood waters recede and necessary repairs are made. 

Riverdale Regional Park welcomes Adams County Pride back to the park on Saturday, June 10. Take pride in who you are and celebrate love, diversity, and equality at the free, family-friendly festival. 

The international event will highlight local efforts to increase the quality of life in every community.

Adams County marks the week of May 8-12, 2023, as the next Economic Development Week. During this week, communities across North America will celebrate and recognize the contributions made by professional economic developers to create more economically vibrant and livable communities.
