Adams County Board of County Commissioners Approves 2023 Budget 

Strong Economic Recovery, Unemployment Down 2%  

The Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) unanimously adopted the 2023 Adams County budget at public hearing on Tuesday, Nov. 22. The 2023 budget is set at $719,282,203, which is a 9% increase from 2022.

Governor Polis Orders Flags Lowered to Honor Victims of Colorado Springs Shooting

COLORADO SPRINGS - Governor Jared Polis ordered flags lowered to half-staff on all public buildings statewide from sunrise Nov. 21 until sunset Nov. 26, 2022, to honor and remember the victims of the horrific shooting at Club Q in Colorado Springs. Flags will be lowered for 5 days to remember each of the 5 individuals who lost their lives in this senseless tragedy.

Adams County Government Buildings Will Go to Five-Day Schedule Jan. 3, 2023 

Looks to Add Over 100 Employees and Four Locations for New Health Department   

As of Jan. 3, 2023, Adams County will be opening county buildings on Mondays and resuming a five-day schedule. The updated 2023 building schedule will continue to provide a regular 40-hour workweek for residents and employees, but by opening county buildings on Mondays, residents will have more flexibility to utilize in-person services.

Governor Polis Orders Flags Lowered to Honor Life of Minority Leader Hugh McKean

DENVER - Governor Jared Polis ordered flags to be lowered to half-staff on all public buildings and properties on Thursday, Nov. 10, to honor the life of Minority Leader Hugh McKean. The flags will remain lowered from sunrise to sunset for his memorial service at the Colorado state capitol which will begin at 11:30 a.m. MT.

Adams County Clerk Encourages Voters to Return Ballots by 7 p.m.

Voter Turnout 14% Lower Compared to Previous Midterm Election

As of Monday, Nov. 7, 104,285 Adams County voters, or around 30% of registered voters, have returned their ballots to the Adams County Clerk & Recorder’s Office, and there is still time for voters to return their completed ballots.
