April 5, 2019 - Beginning tonight at 8 p.m., Peoria Street will close underneath I-70. The road will reopen at 9 a.m. and stay open during the day. It will close again on Saturday, April 6 from 8 p.m.-9 a.m. Construction crews will be setting bridge beams on the newly widened portions of the I-70 bridge over Peoria Street. Please see the detour map.
Next weekend we will have a full closure of east and westbound I-70 from Colorado Boulevard to I-270 to set bridge beams over I-70 on the new I-270 flyover. To complete this work, the highway will be closed on April 12 at 10 p.m. to April 15 at 5 a.m. The main westbound detour is up I-270, to I-76, and down I-25. Reverse for the eastbound detour. I-70 will remain open between I-25 and Colorado Boulevard, with access to Washington Street, Brighton Boulevard, York Street, Steele Street/Vasquez Boulevard, and Colorado Boulevard. See detour map.
These closures will be input into Waze and Google Maps so drivers using GPS should not have any issues navigating the closure.

Michael Romero Named Adams County Employee of ALL Seasons
The Adams County Board of Commissioners announced Michael Romero as Adams County Employee of ALL Seasons at the annual Employee Recognition Luncheon held on Wednesday, Sept. 4.
Michael began his career in March 1994 as a Deputy Sheriff in the Adams County Sheriff’s Office and retired in May 2013. He then returned to work for Adams County in October 2014 as a part-time Investigations Assistant for the District Attorney’s Office and continues to serve in this role today.
