Kristin Sullivan has been named director of the Adams County Public Works Department.
Sullivan joined Adams County in 2010 and was named the Director of the Community & Economic Development Department in 2017. She also has served as the Interim Director of Public Works since last year. Previously, she held various positions with the county, including Planning Manager, Economic Development Manager, Legislative Liaison, and Deputy Director of Community & Economic Development. Sullivan earned a bachelor’s degree in geography from Colgate University and a master’s degree in urban and regional planning from the University of Colorado Denver.
“Through Kristin’s leadership, she has simplified our practices to strengthen our services to residents and businesses in her existing role, improving our outcomes,” said County Manager Raymond Gonzales. “I am confident she can provide the same support and leadership to our strong Public Works Department allowing us to achieve even greater success.”
Sullivan recently led a redesign of the county’s development review functions and the implementation of the E-Permit Center, which allows county residents and developers to apply for, review, pay for, and print out building permits from any computer or mobile device. Sullivan also managed plans to improve the state of affordable housing in Adams County, including developments at 7401 Broadway and Baker School Apartments.
