When your medicines are no longer needed, they should be disposed of promptly. The state's Take Meds Back program helps Colorado residents safely dispose of unused and expired prescription medications. Safe disposal keeps meds like opioids, sedatives, and stimulants from being misused or abused. It also helps protect Colorado’s precious environment and wildlife.
Protect your family and friends by safely disposing of your unused and expired prescription medications at collection boxes located around the state. Learn more about safe use, safe storage, and safe disposal.
