Adams County Appoints David Fraser as Interim County Manager
Adams County is pleased to announce the appointment of David Fraser as the Interim County Manager. Fraser, a distinguished leader with three decades of experience in local government, will guide the county through this transitional period until Spring 2025, when the Board of County Commissioners will seek a permanent replacement.

Gov. Hickenlooper Orders Flags Lowered to Honor the Victims of Sutherland Springs Attack
Monday, Nov. 6, 2017 — Gov. John Hickenlooper today ordered flags lowered to half-staff on all public buildings until sunset Nov. 9 to honor the victims of the attack in Sutherland Springs, Texas and as proclaimed by President Donald Trump.

Adams County Celebrates National Adoption Day
Projects 150 adoptions to be finalized in 2017
Adams County will celebrate National Adoption Day by finalizing 12 adoptions on Friday, Nov. 17, with a special celebration at the Adams County Justice Center, 1100 Judicial Center Dr., Brighton,, from 9 a.m.–noon. The Board of County Commissioners, Human Services Department, and the 17th Judicial District will host the adoptive families for a beach-themed event. Adams County has finalized more than 117 adoptions through October, and projects a total of 150 adoptions to be finalized by the end of the year.

Spring 2018 Colorado Master Gardener Program
The Colorado Master Gardener program in Adams County is taking applications for Spring 2018 full-day classes. Classes will be held on Fridays from 9 a.m.–4 p.m. running from Jan. 26–April 12.
