Health Alert: 2019 Novel Coronavirus
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is closely monitoring an outbreak of respiratory illness caused by a novel (new) coronavirus named 2019-nCoV that was first detected in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China and which continues to expand. Chinese health officials have reported thousands of infections with 2019-nCoV in China, with the virus reportedly spreading from person-to-person in many parts of that country.

Adams County is asking residents to share information about their housing decisions and needs to help with the county housing needs assessment. Adams County receives funding from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and is conducting a study to better understand residents’ housing decisions and experiences living and working in the county and its cities. Adams Hollow Disc Golf Course Temporarily Reopened
Adams Hollow Disc Golf Course has reopened temporarily seven days a week while construction around the course is paused due to weather. Get Free Radon Test Kits in January from Tri-County Health Department
January is National Radon Action Month, and radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the U.S. Unfortunately, about 50% of homes in Colorado have high radon levels. Tri-County Health Department (TCHD) will be campaigning using bus advertisements for radon awareness throughout the metro area during January. TCHD is also giving away 300 free radon test kits starting in January.

Board Approves 2020 Office Closure Schedule
The Board of County Commissioners passed Resolution 2019-646 Establishing Office Closures for 2020. The county will observe 12 scheduled closures, and employees will have an additional Floating Holiday, in 2020. All government offices will be closed on the 12 noted closure dates.
