At public hearing on Tuesday, Sept. 20, Adams County received $1,144,816.02 from the Metropolitan Football Stadium District Board. Taxpayers funded 75% of the Broncos’ stadium cost through a one-tenth of one percent sales tax. Last month, the Metropolitan Football Stadium District Board voted unanimously to approve a share back amount of just over $41 million. The amount the county received is based on the breakdown of how much of the district tax was collected from each municipality.
Children are our future and investing in youth will lead to better health, social, and educational outcomes. The Board looks forward to discussing how Adams County can use these funds to support youth in reaching their full potential.
