Notice:  Adams County and contractor Noraa Concrete Construction Corporation will close access to E 55th Avenue and Logan Street for seven working days from approx. 8 a.m. Monday, Nov. 18 through approx. 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26. The closure is necessary while crews replace curb ramps and make sidewalk and roadway improvements to meet new Americans with Disabilities (ADA) compliance guidelines and for enhanced public accessibility.

The Adams County Veterans Service Office and the Denver Vet Center—part of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)—have teamed up for a unique pilot program.

NOTICE: Suncor will conduct Fire Extinguisher Training on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at the Suncor Fire Training Center from 12 - 3 p.m. The training will be performed at the Plant 1 Fire Training Grounds. During the training sessions there will likely be flames and smoke produced. In the event of an actual emergency, all training will cease and proper alarms will be sounded.

Adams County and Noraa Concrete Construction Corporation will close access to E. 55th Avenue and Pearl Street for seven days from approx. 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019, through approx. 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12. The closure is necessary while crews replace curb ramps and make sidewalk improvements to meet new Americans with Disabilities (ADA) compliance guidelines and for enhanced public accessibility. First responders and local traffic will be detoured to E. 56th Avenue for ingress/egress onto Pearl Street.

The Adams Hollow Disc Golf Course at Riverdale Regional Park will be closed on weekdays (Monday-Friday) starting Monday, Nov. 4, until February 2020 due to construction around the area and safety concerns near the course. The course will remain open on the weekends unless project impacts deem it necessary to close the course. Thank you for your compliance with this closure.

The Adams County Community Support team is hosting a free resource fair on Saturday, Nov. 16, 10 a.m-2 p.m., at Adams City High School, 7200 Quebec Pkwy., Commerce City.

Several local organizations, community partners, and Adams County departments will be onsite offering a wide array of low-cost or free services, food, and children’s games and activities.

CDOT and contractor, Noraa Concrete Construction Corporation are replacing 118 curb ramps and making public right of way improvements across Region 1 to meet new Americans with Disabilities (ADA) compliance guidelines and to support CDOT's four-year $85 million statewide initiative. The new ramps are wider, sloped for easier access, and finished with a slip-resistant texture to maximize public safety in all weather conditions.

The Adams County Head Start team will be hosting the inaugural Family Health Institute on Friday, Nov. 8, 8 a.m.-2 p.m., at the Human Services Center Conference Center, 11860 Pecos St., Westminster.
