Kristin Sullivan Named Director of Community & Economic Development Department
Kristin Sullivan has been named director of the Adams County Community & Economic Development Department.
Sullivan joined Adams County in 2010 and has held various positions including Planning Manager, Economic Development Manager, Legislative Liaison, and most recently, Deputy Director of Community & Economic Development. Sullivan holds a bachelor’s degree in geography from Colgate University and a master’s degree in urban and regional planning from the University of Colorado Denver.
“We’re excited to appoint Kristin as director for one of our most important and visible departments,” said County Manager Raymond Gonzales. “She has a tremendous amount of experience in the department and knows Adams County inside and out. Kristin is the perfect leader to build upon our recent successes and will continue to innovate on behalf of county residents.”
Sullivan recently led a redesign of the county’s development review functions and the implementation of the E-Permit Center, which allows county residents and developers to apply for, review, pay for, and print out building permits from any computer or mobile device. Sullivan also managed redevelopment of the ASARCO Globe smelter on the border of Denver and Adams County, now the location of Crossroads Commerce Park.
