Adams County Releases Two New Marijuana Retail Licenses

The Board of Commissioners voted to release two additional marijuana retail store licenses at its public hearing on Tuesday, Dec. 11.

Those who wish to apply for one of the additional marijuana retail store licenses will be able to do so starting Monday, Jan. 7, 2019, at 8 a.m. Applications must consist of a completed Marijuana Establishment Application and will only be accepted via the Marijuana Establishment email address at [email protected]. Additional application instructions are available on the county’s website.

After some debate, the board agreed to release the two new retail licenses, while keeping intact an unused marijuana testing license. Applications for the testing license are also available on the Adams County website.

Over $1.5 million has been awarded to students through the Adams County Scholarship Fund with tax revenue generated from retail marijuana stores in unincorporated areas of the county.
