Traffic Advisory - Nighttime Lane Closures on US-287/SH-128
For the week starting April 1, the following closures for asphalt crack repair are in place:
Wednesday, April 4, through Saturday, April 7, 7 p.m. - 7 a.m., US-287/SH-128 (120th Ave.) from Main Street to Melody Drive, will have intermittent mobile lane closures in both directions.
Erin Brim Named Adams County Employee of All Seasons
The Board of County Commissioners announced Erin Brim, Recording Manager in the Clerk and Recorder’s Office, as the Adams County Employee of All Seasons at a recognition luncheon on Wednesday, March 21.
Erin began her career with the county in February 2013 as a Recording Technician for the Clerk and Recorder. She was promoted first to Recording Supervisor in 2015 and then to her current role as Recording Manager in December 2016.
Pet and Livestock Owners Cautioned About Rabies
The Colorado Department of Agriculture and Tri-County Health Department have confirmed that an alpaca in Douglas County has died due to a rabies infection. Pet owners are urged to check records to ensure rabies vaccinations are up-to-date. Livestock can also be infected with rabies and owners are encouraged to discuss the risk of rabies exposure with their local veterinarian.
Grand Opening of the Assessor's New Satellite Office
Join us for the grand opening of the Assessor's new satellite office at the Pete Mirelez Human Services Center, 11860 N. Pecos St., Westminster, on Thursday, March 15. This office will be full service, including senior exemption applications and mobile home needs. It will be open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Suncor to Conduct Planned Maintenance at Commerce City Refinery
Starting next week, Suncor will begin a higher level of planned maintenance at their Commerce City refinery. This increased level of work occurs routinely every two to three years and is part of maintaining asset integrity. It is scheduled to last through mid-April 2018.
FAA Moves Forward with Review of Spaceport Colorado Site in Adams County
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has begun its 180-day review period on Spaceport Colorado’s Launch Site Operator License at Front Range Airport in Adams County, and the county expects to have a license determination from the FAA by Aug. 19.
Citizens Can Now Renew License Plates at 20 Kiosks in 12 Colorado Counties
Renewing your license plates in Colorado is now exciting and much easier. Citizens in 12 Colorado counties now have the option to renew their vehicle registration at any of the 20 self-service kiosks located in any of those participating counties.

The Adams County Community and Economic Development Department has been developing a draft Balanced Housing Plan (BHP) over the past year with goals, policies, and recommendations.
Adopt-a-Spot Program
The Adams County Adopt-a-Spot program allows an individual, family, or group to help preserve and maintain our parks, trails, and open spaces. This is a fun, flexible way to volunteer, as the clean-up schedule is designed by you with a minimum of four cleanups a year for a one-year commitment.
Help Kids in Need by Becoming a Foster Parent
The Adams County Foster Care team is looking to expand the team of foster parents who care for school-aged children in need of a temporary home. These children are from your neighborhood and perhaps the very school your children attend. NOTICE TO BASED AIRCRAFT OWNERS
Please visit the FAA National Based Aircraft Inventory website to make sure the registry of your aircraft based location is current as it affects grant funding for Colorado Air and Space Port (CASP). CASP will soon have a form available on our website so you can update your aircraft information with us as well.
