Elections Department Releases Findings of Third-Party Audit Re: Misplaced Ballots
Adams County Clerk & Recorder Josh Zygielbaum hired a third-party company, Eide Bailly, to perform an independent audit of the misplaced ballots from the 2018 General Election.
The report is complete and absolves the county and their ballot printing vendor, K&H Integrated Print Solutions, of any misconduct.
“Before I took office, I pledged to investigate what went wrong with the misplaced ballots in the 2018 General Election. I’m happy the investigation determined there was no wrongdoing by Adams County,” said Zygielbaum. “Nevertheless, my team put measures in place to ensure this will not happen again; public trust in our system and integrity in our elections process are incredibly important to me.”
In addition to the process improvements made by the county’s Elections Department, K&H has also refined their processes to safeguard future elections.
