Mayte Olague Named Adams County Employee of All Seasons

The Adams County Board of Commissioners announced Mayte Olague as Adams County Employee of All Seasons at the We Are Adams Recognition Luncheon on Feb. 27, 2019.

Mayte began her career on March 21, 2016 as an Animal Care Technician. As part of the county’s recognition program, Mayte was nominated and chosen as a Summer Employee of the Season category winner in the Success in Practice category. Her nomination read: “Through her incredible work ethic and perpetually positive attitude, Mayte has earned the trust and respect of animal management officers from eight jurisdictions and the entire shelter team. Coming to a shelter is stressful for animals, and watching her patient and compassionate approach to gaining trust with the most frightened pets is inspiring. Using her Spanish language abilities and excellent customer service skills, she helps provide a higher level of service to our Spanish-preferred community. With poise and professionalism, she represented the shelter on Telemundo twice, promoting the National Clear the Shelters adoption event. Whether she is going the extra mile for animals, volunteers, coworkers, or residents, Mayte’s dedication and heart is invaluable and inspirational.”

Mayte is a devoted, talented, and exceptional Adams County employee. She was acknowledged for her hard work, dedication, and commitment to our shelter animals and the county and its citizens.

Adams County currently has approximately 2,200 employees who serve the county’s 500,000 residents. To become Employee of All Seasons, employees are nominated and voted on by their coworkers, the Employee of the Season Committee, and Adams County citizens.

The We Are Adams Recognition Luncheon is an annual event to recognize employees who have reached a milestone year with the county, employees with over 20 years of service, and the Employee of the Season award recipients.
